The aurora is looking much better! And yeah, frostkisses' suggestion is very good, it might be better to just have them floating in the sky instead of very low to the horizon. :3 But the technique you used for them works well, so no need to change that!

I think you meant this for Tzu's "bad day/pretty girl" thread instead of the Wintersday one
But I agree, Tzu is very pretty ^^

I have some spare medals so I can add an opressor weapon to the prizes. But you cannot trade medals so I can either swap fpr a random weapon to hand to Miami's safekeeping or swap for a weapon of the winner's choice after the results.
Any preference?

I think keeping the medals for now and exchanging them for the preferred weapon by the winner after the results are out is better

Oooh, she's looking interesting. I think having drawings along with a story is always great fun, because you can compare how the writer imagined the characters to how you imagined them. And I really like the idea of "storybook" type stories except for adults, with just a smattering of text and a lot of drawings (without it being completely a comic).
Can't wait to read your story.

Ok lets do that. So maybe add 'Oppressor weapon of your choice' to the prize list.

Thistle; what if you put text beside your characters as you introduce them? it might not work if you do a few on a page, but you could put them lined up in the general area. or a group shot type thing
So i had a busy week (school, got to see cirque du soleil again :3) but im almost done all 3 polar bears. Im gunna take individual shots of each and then a bigger picture with all three. That should be up today as well. Also gunna make our own spring rolls and we got donkey kong country returns today (ITS SO MUCH FUN ) so i might work on it sporatically through the day.

Ok, lets give this a whirl.
So Ive got all three done.
All 3 Bears
Bear with Hat
Bear on Fruitcake
I did the fruitcake bear last, and I feel like the shading is a bit wonky. im thinking i might just need to add a shadow to the front of the arm and front leg because it's on the belly... what do you think?
And Aeronwen, they were seperate things. But i can see how you would think that :P My step mom got tickets cause they were really cheap (they came to a relatively small town. i mean, small for cirque. it wasnt even toronto :P) (and cheap as in 25$CDN). We got upgraded to box seats too, for free, which was a pretty sweet bonus. we had a great view the whole show ^^

rofl, Tommy! I'd probably have to give a nickel to Mars Inc. every time someone read my story if I went with Twix XD I knew I definitely wanted an *ix name, and it's amazing how with 26 letters in the alphabet, there really aren't many practical options D:
Awww, Death, that is sooo cute so far!!! I think they look really great
Lol, Pery, I was originally thinking I'd do a bunch of pics as the story went along, but after how long it took to do just a sketch of Nix, I'm just like... ok, maybe not.
Thanks Minami Although, I guess it's kinda misleading when I said it's a continuation of the Halloween story. It takes place the following Wintersday after the Halloween story, but the focus is really going to be more on Bix and Nix with the Halloween characters being more of secondary background characters. As of now, I'm planning on...
<Non-Minami people, don't read this if you haven't read the Halloween story>

@Death By An Arrow: Eee, they're looking very cute so far! I think the fruitcake bear doesn't need that shadow on his back, since none of the other bears have shading on that side. Also, having stronger shading for the lower leg that's behind the bear could help it pop out more. Right now, the other two bears have stronger shadows, so adding some stronger shading to the leg would make him fit in better.
I love the hat on the jingle bear.
@Thistle Xandra: You could make longer *ix names? Like Sareenix, Feyix, etc. Kind of reminds me of Asterix and Obelix-comics, where they had a bunch of really funny *ix names (just because apparently that made them very gaul).
Good luck with doing the drawings for it.

Death, those are looking really sweet I agree with Pery about the shading (she said it far better than I could). I have never seen Cirque I am really envious
Pery, lol, yeah Getafix always made me smile.
Thistle I forgot to say how much I liked the drawing. I do very much like simple b and w sketches with stories. I am a bit of an Alice fan and have many different editions but by far the best is are the ones with original illustrations.

Yeah, i didnt know where the shadows should go for that bear. i was also thinking of adding a light line of darker blue to the whole side closest to the chest but I wasn't sure if it would be too much. Ive got some stuff on the belly but its very light, just sort of to show the idea.
